I live in e17 and have a passion for coffee shops. I'm not an educated coffee drinker, it's just an indulgent pleasure, but so is the ambience of a coffee shop. A space for either reading quietly or gas-bagging with pals.

There are so many independent coffee shops and cafes in e17, that I have decided to explore and keep a record to encourage everyone to share the love amongst the small traders of East London. When I run out of places in e17 (in the distant future), I think I'll start on e16 or e15 or e1.

I'm a bit nervous around strangers, so you'll find that unless the type of coffee being brewed is displayed on a handy chalkboard, I'm unlikely to have mustered the courage to ask.

I’m conscious that this blog could be more about cafes and food than coffee, but really that just goes to show how few places there are within e17 that focus on creating a beautiful cup of coffee. Walthamstow doesn’t necessarily need pure coffee shops, but I think we do need places that care about offering a great coffee experience.
